Overview
Behind the boutiques and bars of Hauz Khas Village lies the thing everyone forgets to look at - a 14th-century reservoir and madrasa ruins on the water's edge, with a deer park beside it. Come at dusk: parakeets screaming home, the old domes going pink, couples and dogs and joggers under six hundred years of stone.
Walk past the cafes to the back of the village, down to the water, and find a perch on the madrasa steps for sunset. The deer park gate closes early - go there first.
