Overview
Shah Jahan's great mosque is at its best just after dawn, when the red sandstone courtyard is nearly empty and pigeons wheel over the minarets. Climb the southern minaret for a rooftop view of the old city waking up.
Go at first light, before the tour groups, then walk straight to Al Jawahar for nihari.
